Grammar 3 Lesson Talking Thinking

when it comes to fics many people have different ways of doing things like when a person talks or when they think

"Talking" ........... 'Thinking'  

Now when you do this sometimes things show up as improper but placing ... at the end of the makes it show your character is talking "Yo..." After the ... you can add the correct punctuation ? ! ect...

then theres the demon spirit or spells incantations ninjutsu talk a lot of people place these kinds of conversations in bold "I am the great demon fox Kyuubi!!!"  for example but you can do more than that.

but if you do put up a guide at the front or top of the fic

You can use anything to show conversation :...: "..." ''...'' '...' {...} [...] (...) *...* /.../ <...> anything as long as you say whats what.

Also it doesn't matter what kind of conversation your having you capitalize the first letter of the first word after the conversation. "I'm gonna be king of the pirates..." He said. or "I'm gonna be King of the pirates!" Luffy said

Lots of people forget this sometimes and does not always show up using F7 or your spell and grammar check so keep an eye out for it.

Grammar

grammar is important in fics but it is difficult because even in anime series grammar when people are talking is not always exact and american grammar may not fit also the plot you place the characters may also effect the grammar

so try your best and let spell check be your friend but try to read over a work before posting it ive re read my fics and have seen errors ive made

Pairings

dont let the mainstream rule your pairing choices, if you want to see 2 characters together then put them together even if you have to mess with the story or create an alternate universe, or if you just want to see them get down and dirty you can do a pwp or just a smut one shot.

also you can contribute to the mainstream anyone can put a special twist on a pairing

i am a found believer that no series has been done to death not until all the pairings have been done

Size

when making lemons in fics and stories most fic writers do not go into specific size recently i want to an anime convention where we discussed various things

sometimes its better to leave out specific size length and let the reader use their imagination

however many use specific size length to increase the perversion level

but please know what your talking about and know the warnings

Hyper Inflation this warning is your friend because it is used for characters with impossible sized manhoods

the chances of meeting a guy with 15 to 40 inches is impossible!!!

a fun idea but again not possible

use hyper inflation for appropriate characters to it is your story you can do what you want but at the con they had a long list of stories that were on the hit list for this panel

protect your stories you can be realistic and hot

many people who see the hyper inflation will go one of two ways, call you a perverted genius or call you a fool and flame the fic

hyper inflation is used in various pics and with fan characters you can mess with them as you please if you use hyper inflation warn the people!!!

Character Design

Most characters in fics are done of the shows characters however if you alter a character you must always remember what you alter, if you state in a fic the character is wearing shorts and no shoes and later say he kicks his shoes off you create a confusion gap

also when you change physical appearances its better to save those changes and read them over before you start updating or working on fics, that way you have the image fresh in your mind

its unwise to go into to much detail when it comes to height, weight, ect, if you fill the story with to much detail all at once the reader can get board and stop reading.


it is better to spread the information out a bit like saying. Naruto pulled on a gray jacket before leaving the house, that way the story can keep flowing and the readers know he's wearing a jacket.

Know Your Stuff

I highly recommend you neither read nor right a fic unless you have seen the series, also if you just starting out on a fic and you do not like spoilers look out for the spoiler alert warning and wait to read it

also if your writing a fic the does spoilers do not forget the spoiler alert warning its a fair thing to do

OOC

this is a warning stands for out of character i do not use this warning unless i make really huge changes, because you never know what a character is truly like

for me i see the many sides of a character a top or a bottom, the many sides of their personality

i create fics inspired by these sides

Ratings

by understanding the ratings you can decide what your fics will be like

there are many fanfic style sites you can post on fanfiction.net is the main one.

K ratings a kiddie ratings fluff no action ect
T ratings are more action packed may have language fight scenes adventure ect
M ratings are more mature may contain lemons usually censored for this site can contain things of all of the above

other sites like mediaminer or adultfanfiction.net contain M rated and even X rated material

there are also fanfic blogs where you can post any kind of fics Bumwolf.com has opened up a fanfiction section as well for uncensored and X rated works

What Ifs 101

Ok when you ask what if about a series don't get hung up on the little things, like hair, eye color.
Again we will look at Naruto

What if Naruto had black hair? Not very ground breaking and doesn't open much plot

Focus on abilities, places, skills, ect

Like What if the rookie 9 were the vessels of the 9 bijuu.

there it opens up your creativity, ideas, plots and by asking that more questions can be asked and soon you'll have yourself a fic 

Don't think you can't write

Anyone can write a fic its a fun way to express fun and creative ideas. Fan fics give you a chance to put a spin on a series or character. Even if its something that's been done before it hasn't been done by you put your own spin on it change it up if the characters a top make them a bottom.

its ok to be inspired but use your own ideas also give credit where credit is due

if you do a fic with the characters of bleach with the plot of beauty and the beast make sure to state that, and use disclaimers

Warnings

Warnings are a small part of the fic but knowing the warnings will help you know what kind of things you put in your fic.

Lemons- are sex scenes warnings
Now you dont have to do M or X rated fics but knowing the warnings for them is still important

The world of fan fics has been around for a good long time so warnings have been shortened and finalized to mean many things

The word Furry is used for furry fics, anamorphic fics, ect... this warning is used when a character is animal, or has animal like traits.

Lets Start

You can make a fan fic based on pretty much anything from books, cartoons, manga, anime, video games, anything really. First start with one of the categories. Anime would be recommended for anime fans. I am an anime fan so lets start with that.

First choose an anime, you can choose anything you want or have seen

Let's start with a popular and well known anime Naruto

Once you have a chosen anime get creative open your mind to the possibilities ask the "what ifs?"

What if Naruto was born a girl?
What if Naruto was the Kyuubi's son?
What if Naruto had skills with a sword?

Asking these kind of ideas can be basic and plain but then you can add more. Some of the simplest question can stir up the greatest of brain storms

If Naruto was born a girl whats her body type, is she interested in men or women, what kind of jutsu will she have, nothing is restricted just remember to apply all the appropriate warnings before posting the fic any where
